Apple Pie Oatmeal: Apple pie flavoured oatmeal sweetened with our own traditional sweet jaggery. The sweet and spiced apple pie in the regular oatmeal makes it more festive and Christmasy.
I adapted the recipe from here but instead of using regular sugar or brown sugar, I used jaggery and the dessert turned out fabulous. The flavours of apple, the ground spices when combined with jaggery and oats it has become something so flavorful and delicious.
1- 1 cup apple, cut into cubes
2- 1/2 cup quick quicking oats
3- 1/4 cup jaggery, grated
4- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
5- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
6- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
7- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8- 2 cups water
9- 11/2 cup milk
1- toasted hazelnuts

Add grated jaggery and vanilla extract and stir to combine.
Remove from heat and pour into serving bowls.
Serve topped with hazelnut, raisins, sesame seeds and chopped apples.
